DIY Galvanized Ornaments

December 5, 2017 By Brandy Leave a Comment

The galvanized craze is hitting the stores with their holiday wares.  I’m in love with it all!  Galvanized décor fits in perfectly whether your tastes are rustic or classy chic or a combination of both!  Today I will share with you how I to make super cute and easy galvanized ornaments for your Christmas tree!

I purchased galvanized circle tags from Michaels.  These particular tags measured 3.5 inches in diameter.  With a coupon, these tags cost around $1 each.  The bar code tag was removed with Goo Gone.

I used my Cricut and red vinyl to create the ornament lettering and designs.  I did put the design on both sides of the ornament, but it is not necessary.   If you don’t have a Cricut, no worries; consider using holiday themed stickers or drawing with Sharpie markers.  Add decorative details with bells and mini ornaments.  I tied the bells and snowflakes on with fishing line.

Making your own ornaments lets you to add your own personal touch.  The pineapple is a symbol of hospitality and it was cherished by my grandmother so it was an absolute must when creating ornaments for my cousins.

These tags come in a variety of shapes and sizes.  You can usually find them on the aisle endcaps in Michaels stores.

I can’t wait to see what you create!  Craft on!
