Our Easter traditions are a family favorite. This post is throwback from March 2015 for Doll Diaries; time flies…I can’t believe it has been two years. My family still loves Easter Morning! From the hunt to find baskets, to our traditional Easter breakfast, to new outfits, and church services, we adore this day. Easter Bunny Brunches seem to be even more popular than ever. Today I will share with you how to make a doll version of ‘Breakfast with the Easter Bunny’ or the popular ‘Bunny Brunch.’ I have cute DIY doll food that ranges from eggs cups to doll sized bunny mask printables.
Let’s have breakfast with the Easter Bunny! Attached you will find a PDF mask printable; one is doll sized and the other is sized for you. Simply print, color to your desire, and cut out. I used hot glue and attached baby elastic to each side of the mask. Or you can use ribbon and tie in the back. I can’t wait to see how you get creative with your mask designs! Post your creations to my Facebook page!

I saw a picture of a beautiful wicker plate charger at Pottery Barn. The place setting looked perfect for Spring and I wanted to mimic that in the dollhouse. I found these adorable 3 inch wood die cuts at Michael’s. Each was painted brown to mimic the look of wicker.
I think the table setting turned out cute and festive!
The egg cups were made out of recycled toothpaste caps! I hot-glued two pony beads to a button base. Next, I hot-glued the toothpaste cap onto the top pony bead. I used a small amount of poster putty and rolled into a ball and placed into the cap to rise up the egg and keep it in place.
You just never know what you can make out of a toothpaste cap! lol. The eggs cups fit the doll scene perfectly!
Easter shaped pancakes are a tradition in this house. My inspiration came from the pancake molds that I purchased from Williams Sonoma. Attached is a PDF Easter pancake printable for you. Simply print and cut out these shapes. You can either color them in or use them as patterns to trace onto tan foam paper as I did.

There is doll inspiration EVERYWHERE! 🙂
Bacon: is made from tan foam paper; a brown sharpie was used to make accents.
Fried Eggs: are white foam paper. The yolks are yellow felt.
Blueberry Scones: I cut 1 inch by 4-5 inch strips of cream foam paper. I folded them as if you were folding a flag (triangular). At end of fold I glued together with a hot glue gun. I used a dark blue sharpie to add dots to resemble the blueberries. I then used white puff paint and drizzled over the top to resemble icing.
Cinnamon Rolls: I cut the foam paper and red felt into ¾ inch by 5 inch strips. I rolled them together and hot glued the end. On the underside I pushed up the center. I rubbed some brown chalk onto my fingers and then rubbed onto the foam sides to give it a baked look. I used white foam paint to the top for icing.
Tomato Juice: colored resin.
Happy Easter everyone! Craft on!
I had been wondering what those toothpaste caps could be used for. I hope I saved some. I have those Easter cookie cutters. I can’t wait to get home from work and try making pancakes now. Oh, help! I’m getting too many last minute ideas. I love it! I’m broke right now, so, I think I’ll try doilys for chargers under the plates, but, love your idea. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
The doilys for chargers work great too! I have a variety of colors in the paper doilys. You can get them in a lot of colors at Michaels. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Well I be darned!!! I collect all kinds of caps for projects with grandkids and the dolls but for some reason I have never saved the toothpaste lids….NOW I WILL! I was trying to think of ideas for an egg cup for the dolls and was coming up blank but 4 toothpaste tubes later I will have these egg cups! I have to go to my dentist soon and they always tuck a tiny tube of toothpaste in with a free toothbrush at every visit. Maybe I will try to schmooze a few extra to hurry this along. with only two people brushing their teeth everyday…toothpaste lasts a looooong time here. haha Thank you for your inspiration
I gotta keep you on your toes Lisa! You never know what I’ll come up with! lol 🙂
