Last week I surprised my daughters with an early Valentines treat…homemade pink pizzelle cannoli. They were a huge hit. My daughters love setting their doll scenes to match real life. So as you can imagine I got a request to make a doll version of these pink cannoli. I am far…really far…from a doll food making expert, but I gave it a try and the doll pizzelle cannoli turned out super cute. My daughters were thrilled! Today I will share how to make these American Girl doll sized cannoli and red and pink pizzelles to use as Valentines treats.
Below is a picture of the real pink pizzelle cannoli that were made. They were so GOOD! You can find that recipe here: http://brandyshappyhome.com/dye-free-pink-pizzelles/
The scene was set! Flour, eggs, baking powder, mixer, and sprinkles. This doll was ready to get her bake on! Coming soon…the banner printable!
Once again I reached out to an amazing graphic designer, Michal Eshkol, who redesigned the pizzelle cookie pattern into red! You can find Michal here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/pickApixel . I was able to do some minor color tweaking and came up with the pink color. THANK YOU Michal!
Step 1. Print out your free doll pink and red pizzelle cookies. I used 65 lb cardstock paper. Cut them out and then using a glue stick, glue the front and backs together. You can get your free DIY Doll Red and Pink Pizzelle Printable below:

Step 2. Wrap the paper pizzelle cookie around a pencil to shape. Using a very small amount of hot glue…glue closed.
Step 3. Use Crayola Air Dry Model Magic Clay in white. Role out a small piece and slid into the shell. Mold into a round end.
Step 4. Use a pointed clay tool…a paper clip end works well too…and score lines around the end to give the appearance that it was pushed through a frosting tip.
Step 5. Let dry. The Cannolis look super cute as is or you can go onto step 6.
Step 6. Use microbeads as sprinkles! I used a small paint brush and added a layer of matte Mode Podge over the frosting ends and sprinkled with microbeads. Let dry.
I have a large microbead set from Marth Stewart. I bought these on sale at Michaels. The recollection brand also has microbeads at Michaels. You can often find microbeads at the Dollar stores in the nail polish area.
You now have the perfect sized doll cannoli!
The pizzelles look so cute in pink and red! Just right for the perfect doll Valentine’s Day Party!
