My daughters and I are so excited to share with you our next series! We have created a super cute doll sized Unicorn Café! We have been loving everything retro as of late and decided to make our café a drive-in as well! This series will include 14 posts and 8 printables. This series was inspired from pictures posted by Wendy Byde on Instagram @overthetopmommy. Wendy also has a wonderful blog that you can find here: http://www.overthetopmommy.com . Her photos were taken while visiting a fabulous shop in Anaheim Hills, California called Crème & Sugar, http://www.cremeandsugar.com/ . Crème & Sugar is the home of the unicorn hot chocolate and shakes. Their unicorn cakes are beautiful too. You will see many pics from Crème & Sugar that inspired our crafts in upcoming posts 9 and 10. My daughters and I fell in love with the photos and wished we could visit; however we are very far away and decided the photos would have to spark some creative doll play. Maybe I’ll have to send my cousin who lives near Anaheim in my place to try these delicious treats for real!
I am so proud of my daughters for their collaboration in this series! We actually held meetings right at the kitchen table to discuss design and layout. We chatted over coffee and cocoa (regular old boring cocoa…BOOOO).
I love how the Unicorn Café Marquee Sign turned out! Simply print out your free printable and cut out. I printed this sign on 65 lb cardstock paper. I did laminate this sign so that it would hold up better with play. I used poster putty to attach the sign to our café stand.

The menus are always fun to create! I created two different sized menus. The larger menu is to be a poster in your café. The smaller menus are to be the hand held menus.
My daughters loved helping come up with the names and descriptions of the menu items. The adorable food graphics where designed by Lili of The Happy Graphics on Etsy.

Of course this little café had to have its very own Guest Check pads! Simply save the pdf and print onto regular printer paper. Cut out and staple pages together. I used a paper cutter to save time.

We recycled several Our Generation accessories as props in this series. This table menu flip stand, napkin holder, and straw holder are from the Our Generation Retro Diner Accessory Set that can be found here: https://www.target.com/p/our-generation-174-retro-diner-accessory-set/-/A-51579145#lnk=sametab
I loved the table flip menu stand from Our Generation. I decided to make Unicorn Café inserts for the two plastic sleeves. If you don’t have this little flip stand you can always use these images as mini posters in your café. You can find your FREE unicorn café table menu printables here: Unicorn Cafe Table Signs
Here’s a sneak peak at the upcoming treats! We’ve made over 7 toppings and 9 sweets! Stay tuned….
CRAFT ON !!!!!!
My daughter and I are really enjoying making these goodies! Could you tell me where you purchased the clip art from? We have a few ideas to expand your menu 🙂
Hi Jessica! The food graphics were supplies by an artist on Etsy. I mentioned the name of the shop in the blog post. Thanks for asking! 🙂
Brandy! This looks so incredibly fun! And how great that the girls are old enough to actually help out with planning and ideas! Everything looks over-the-top and magical! Great job gals!

This is so cute! I was trying to find the Journey girls jeep and could not locate them. Do you know if they are still in production?
Hi Linda! I haven’t seen the purple Journey Girls jeep in a while. I have seen the pink jeep on Amazon; it is provided by Sophia’s. If I find the JG jeep I’ll give you a head’s up! 🙂
Thank you.
You’re very welcome Linda! 🙂
Linda, there are a lot of jeeps for good prices on Mercari.com. The prices start as low as $10 with up to $9.00 for shipping.
