Tenney’s Hot Chicken Truck APRON

February 24, 2017 By Brandy 1 Comment

All restaurants usually have some type of uniform.  Georgia, Tenney’s mother and owner of the Hot Chicken Truck, needed something super cute to wear!  I knew immediately that I wanted to create a logo graphic for my “go to apron.”  These AMAZING little doll aprons can be found at an online store, My Doll’s Life by Sophia’s.  The direct link for this apron is here: http://www.doll-clothes.com/white-baking-art-apron-w-ruffle-trim/.  Today I will share with you a free logo printable for ‘Georgia’s Hot Chicken’ truck apron and decorative tips on how to get this apron matching up perfect with her fabulous chicken truck.

I am a HUGE fan of these little aprons.  I have used them numerous times for several blog posts.  Their price point is perfect.  They are also great to theme decorate and give away as party favors.

These aprons are a very basic white and are awaiting for your creative detail!  These are currently priced at $5.50 each.  I usually buy several at a time!  lol.

Here is the logo printable for Georgia’s Hot Chicken: Georgia’s Chicken Truck Apron  I chose to use a tomato red to match the truck letters.

Print this logo on a higher quality.  Make sure ink is completely dry.  Cut around logo and iron according to transfer sheet instructions.  I have been using Jolee’s Easy image for dark fabrics.  I like how the image prints out against a white background.  I don’t care for the look of transfer sheets that are translucent….the printed colors always seem muted.  Tip:  Make sure iron steam is off.  My iron gets very hot; I only need to lay it on the image for a few seconds at most.  I get me transfer sheets at Michael’s and always with a coupon.

I wanted add more tomato red and robin’s egg blue to this apron.  I added tomato red buttons with contrasting robin’s egg blue thread.  I also layered red and robin’s egg blue ribbons along the bottom of the apron.  Since the blue thread was so narrow I machine sewed it to the red thread first.  I then used Aleene’s fabric tap to attach the red ribbon to the apron.  I LOVE how these two colors look together!!!

In Tenney’s books, Georgia is described as having carrot-colored hair.  We think Maryellen is making a great Georgia for this Tennessee Hot Chicken Truck!  She looks so cute in her apron and serving up her Hot Chicken!

I can’t wait to see what you do with these aprons!  http://www.doll-clothes.com/white-baking-art-apron-w-ruffle-trim/.  Craft on!
