The “Coop Crew” has another super cute doll sized chicken craft for you today! The Coop Crew consists of Brandy’s Happy Home, the Lemon Bay Doll Company, and Fresh Eggs Daily. Lisa of http://www.fresheggsdaily.com/ has inspired another doll craft. I’m going to share with you how to create her Herbs for Hens – Coop Confetti for your doll sized hens. The hens pictured in this post can be found at https://lemonbaydoll.com/ . In real life this coop confetti can be purchased from Lisa’s Etsy shop. Coop Confetti is a wonderful mix of aromatic, organic mix of herbs and edible flowers for your chicken coop floor and nesting boxes. These aromatics help to calm and relax animals as well as to keep out bugs and mice. When my daughters and I learned more about the coop confetti we were sold that the dolls needed their version.
Below is inspiration pictures of Lisa’s Herbs for Hens: Coop Confetti. We love the bright fun colors!
The Coop Crew is hard at work spreading out the coop confetti for their hens. I think these hens are a bit spoiled!
Let’s get started! You can get your free doll sized Herbs for Hens: Coop Confetti printable here: Coop Confetti Printable Simply print and cut out. Fold along dotted lines and glue in place with a glue stick. Tip= before cutting out the square image of confetti for the front of the bag…place a piece of packaging tape over it…then cut out…now you have the appearance that the confetti is behind a piece of clear plastic.
I LOVED the galvanized tray that Lisa had her Coop Confetti displayed. I wanted to recreate this image so the doll hens had little nesting areas of their own. I found galvanized mason jar lids that made great doll sized trays! I purchased my lids here: http://factorydirectcraft.com/catalog/products/1302_2533_740-3479-galvanized_mason_jar_lid.html
*** I have some cute non doll related crafts planned for these lids coming soon… so grab them!
If you want the confetti printable to appear higher in the lid, simply place a piece of thick white craft foam paper inside the lid first.
Ok…you don’t want to buy these galvanized lids but you want to create a doll sized chicken nesting area…no problem. Just take the lid to a wide mouth mason jar. Flip the lid around and replace in ring upside down. Now glue in place.
The doll sized coop confetti does not need a nesting box; it looks super cute all on it’s own. Add a few mini artificial flowers to the scene for extra details!
Here a few pictures of my Aunt and Uncle’s coops. They live in St. Croix, USVI. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to trade some fresh eggs with the local fishermen for the daily catch?!?!
