Now that the DIY doll drive-in theater speakers are finished it’s time to create the marquee sign, movie screen, and concession stand! You can find the instructions for the drive-in speakers in my previous post here: http://brandyshappyhome.com/diy-doll-drive-in-theater-speakers/ . These crafts are super easy and very quick. A FREE printable is provided for the marquee sign below.
To create the Doll Drive-In Movie Marquee Sign print off the pdf files below. The Marquee sign has two parts: cut off bottom boarder of part 1, then glue together and then trim edges. I then glued the printable to a sheet of 3/16″ thick foamboard. You will need to cut your foamboard down to size of sign. Use large binder clips to stand the sign upright. The movies titles printable is for you to write in the names of your movies. Cut out each rectangle and attached to Marquee with poster putty.

Or if you prefer, you can print out your titles in your font of choice.
For the Doll Drive-in movie Screen I used a standard size piece of white 3/16″ foamboard. I used five large binder clips to stand the board. SUPER EASY!
The doll cars look so cute pulled up to the screen with the speakers in place….ready for movie time!
The concessions stand was put together in about 10 minutes. We used a stand that we have had for several years that was made by the Payne Street Doll Boutique.
We recycled previous homemade food crafts, AG food items, and OG food items. My daughters had fun combining items to create one full scene.
I can’t wait to see what movie your Drive-in theater will be showing! Up next…info on the projector we used to show the real movie!
Craft on!
Brandy, I was re-revisiting the concession stand and noticed the Slurpee machine…at least I think that’s what it was…did you craft this and, if so, would you share how you made It? 🙂
Thank You!
Tonja
Hi! Yes, I made it. You can find out more information on this machine here: http://dolldiaries.com/how-to-make-a-target-style-store-for-your-dolls/
Wow…I’m shocked and thrilled you saw my poser! Thank you, so much! 🤗
You are very welcome! 🙂
Adorable! I love your Drive In movie crafts! That pretzel stand! So cute! I am also on the lookout for a doll car that will fit more than one doll. The Drive In theatre where we live was torn down a while back. So sad. I have so many fond memories. I really wish that my daughter could go to a Drive In movie. They were so much fun. Oh well, now we can go with the dolls! 🙂

Ginnie, the only non AG car that I have seen to fit two dolls is the Journey’s girl jeep and the Sophia’s jeep. Have a fabulous summer!
Love the marquee and concession stand!
i was wondering what the purple and pink vehicles were in your pictures. they look like they fit two fullsized American girl dolls in them, unlike the disappointing Our Generation vehicle I recently purchased
Hi Catherine! I understand completely! The purple jeep is from Journey Girls which was purchased at Toys R Us; we have had this car for several years and I’m not sure on it’s availability. The pink jeep is now carried by Sophia’s; I have recently seen this jeep on Amazon. Both jeeps are the same frame and fit two dolls very nicely, unlike the OG jeep which really only fits one doll.
Words cannot describe how much I love this!!! Having grown up in the Drive-In theater days…the memories! I can’t wait to make this for my Granddaughters! Thank you, so very much, for making this so simple and easy and at just the right time of year…Summer!
I love summer crafts, especially easy ones! Happy Summer!
