I love how excited my daughters get when I get the holiday decorations out! So of course the dollhouse gets a little holiday makeover too! And as you will see, our real house provides a lot of inspiration on how the dollhouse gets decorated. Today I will share some tips on how to get a festive look to your doll table and where to buy super cute doll sized serving dishes and spoons.
We recycled a white ceramic salt shaker to create our turkey centerpiece for the doll table. The salt holes were filled with white clay and allowed to dry. The Turkey was displayed on a wood drink coaster. These coasters were given to me by a friend after her wedding. I have seen something similar at Michaels. Candlesticks were made from wood beads and discs painted white. The candle is actually a wood rolling pin…painted to desired burnt orange color.

Wood coasters were also used as accents to serve as a pie stand. For more information on how to make the salt and pepper shakers see here: http://dolldiaries.com/make-your-own-lazy-susan-table-accessories/
I am in LOVE with anything galvanized! These amazing galvanized coasters made great doll sized plate chargers. You can find these chargers here: https://www.amazon.com/Thirstystone-NCIL026-Industrial-Galvanized-Coasters/dp/B01GTVFHDS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1479512038&sr=8-1&keywords=galvanized+coasters

I found the perfect servings spoons that would fit your doll displays. These little spoons can be found in stores at Sur La Table. They are not available on line. These particular spoons are three inches long. I pictured the item number for you so you know what to look for when you go into the store. These spoons are also available in longer lengths. In reality they are salt/spice spoons.
When shopping for serving dishes you have to use your “doll eyes.” I love any tiny dish or ramekin! My favorite shops to look are Sur La Table, Pier 1, and Crate and Barrel. I love the look of white dishes; food displays look crisp and clean against white. Now, if you are looking for something specific and desire that classy flare to your doll table scenes I suggest you check out Luana’s dishes at Dolly’s Dining Room.
Here you can get a better look at the spoon size when paired against doll food and dishes….PERFECT sized serving spoon!

Above are pictures of my real table setting! My daughters wanted the dollhouse patterned “just like the real thing!” Happy Thanksgiving! Craft on!
For 18″ doll cutlery (not Barbie or mini), try metal embellishments; Tim Holtz Idea-ology 9 pack or Art-C 3 pack. Both can be found online or at Joann’s, Tim Holtz also found at Hobby Lobby. Don’t forget to use your coupons. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
I LOVE the Tim HOltz cutlery; I use those in my Little House on the Prairie and other pioneer scenes. I have not seen the Art-C pack, I’ll have to keep any eye out! Thanks!
Brandy your crafts and table is amazing. Did you make the food cart ? If, so do you have a tutorial ?
Hi Judith, the cart was made by Payne Street Doll Boutique a few years ago for my daughters. Check out the tea cart offered by The Queen’s Treasures.
You did an awesome job! All the doll food looks so yummy! Your dolls will be dinning like kings and queens. The food looks soooo good, you are making me hungry! 🍗🌽🍴🍞
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks Sarah! We love decorating for the holidays!
